Professional Apprenticeship Program

Maine State Music Theatre’s Professional Apprentice Program provides a training ground for early career professionals to bridge the gap between education and the professional world.  It provides hands-on experience working alongside professionals in a specific, concentrated area. The program is designed to provide a season of intensive education and work experience in one of several aspects of theatre operation.

* Employment Dates:                May 20 - August 25, 2008 (Dates vary depending on position)

* Scholarship:                           $100.00 weekly

* Meal Per Diem:                      $ 70.00 weekly

* Housing:                                 Free with roommates

* College Credit:                       Check with individual schools

Apprenticeships offered at MSMT:

  • Company Management POSITION FILLED
  • Costume Shop- MUST have stitching experience
  • Electrics
  • Paints
  • Props
  • Scene Shop/Carpenters
  • Sound
  • Stage Management: EMC points offered
  • Stage Operations/Deck Run Crew: EMC points offered
  • Wardrobe- MUST have stitching experience
